1948 Olympiad Yachting - arrival of Olympic Flame at Torre Abbey

The runner holding the torch is Mr S. A. Francis, of 23 Fore Street, St Marychurch; his escorts were Messrs. R. C. Hemmings and G. J. Collings. All three were members of the Torquay Amateur Athletic Club. The local newspapers of the time (held at Torquay Library) give many extra details.
