Trips to the Zoo

A day at the zoo was not just a quick ride in the car! Summer days were always hot and sunny as you walked down to the bus stop. After a short ride to the harbour you would have to wait in a very long queue to get the bus to Paignton. Often the bus didn't go all the way to the zoo so there would be another walk . Once there you would spend hours on your feet looking at the animals, feeding peanuts to the monkeys and looking at the great gorilla who was the biggest personality at the zoo.
