Isambard Brunel built some of the world's finest bridges, tunnels, ships, and railways. Many of his routes are still in use today, for example the Torquay to Kinswear railway line. B. planned and built the first ever broad guage railway. The distance between the tracks was 7ft1,1/4 instead of the 4ft8, 1/2 that is used today.
