The Last Wedding Anniversary


The atmosphere in the Christie household on Christmas Eve 1926 must have been seasonly 'frosty', for although it was Agatha and Archie's twelth wedding anniversary, the marriage was heading for divorce. Earlier that month, their strained relationship had led to a ten day nationwide hunt when Agatha drove off late at night on Friday 3rd December - leaving behind her wedding ring at the maritial home in Sunningdale, Berkshire.
